Div Wars and Coffee Pours: My Gemini New Moon Website Marathon

Spread the love

Last night I decided to recalibrate my website, inspired by valuable feedback and a personal desire to simplify things while still keeping that special uniqueness intact. Funny enough, I undertook this during the site’s New Moon transit in Gemini. A perfect cosmic alignment for digital housekeeping, communication, and clarity.

I started around 10 PM and finished just shy of 11 hours later. It’s fascinating (and slightly maddening) how much work in our digital era goes unseen. We used to live in times where effort was tangible. You saw the sweat, dirt, and physicality of labor. Today, much of our effort hides behind screens, in editing rooms, compressed into sped-up reels or carefully curated snippets. Imagine actually showcasing the real-time process of crocheting a blanket or building a home…unthinkable now, right?

Yet here I am, pulling an 11-hour marathon fueled by copious amounts of caffeine, moments of pure frustration at elusive bugs in my code, and the inexplicable phenomenon of divs rebelliously aligning left despite earnest pleas (and desperate ‘!important’ tags) for center alignment. This was 11 hours filled with intense fixing, checking, research, typing, hoping, knowing and then finally wrapping up, only to realize my task list was still robust: three videos to release, fresh content to craft, school assignments waiting, music mastering in the queue, children to nurture, a husband deserving pampering, finances requiring attention, and relationships to maintain. The list feels endless, and yet, it’s all mine.

Truth be told, appreciation for this behind-the-scenes grind is lovely, but not essential. Right now, I’m focused on appreciating myself. I’m the queen of the scenic route, the princess fashionably late to the party, the last of the Mohicans in stubborn persistence, and a Cheshire cat when it comes to morality; well-intentioned but delightfully ambiguous at times. I cherish being seen by others, yet I know my own eyes must recognize my worth first.

Constant improvement is my joy; doing meaningful work fulfills me deeply. My sincere hope is that what I create brings you happiness as well. But if not, that’s okay—no love lost here. Thank you all sincerely for being part of my journey. And as always:

Think like Saturn. Live like Jupiter.

Remember, the world is a journey paved with shiny stones. Step purposefully, and may each step reflect the brilliance within.
